Traditional Chinese Medicine

Boasting a rich 3,000-year history, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) goes beyond treating illness. It uses practices like acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, guasha, tuina and qigongto promote overall well-being and prevent health problems.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture uses thin needles to stimulate specific points on the body offering not only relief for chronic conditions where conventional medicine falls short but also serves as a preventive measure against illness. Each acupuncture point corresponds to vital organs, facilitating the restoration of the body's balance through nervous system stimulation and improved blood circulation.

Auriculo Acupuncture

Auriculo Acupuncture (or ear acupuncture) is  based on the idea that the ear is a microcosm of the body, with specific points corresponding to different organs and systems. It can be done with tiny sterile needles or with ear seeds for those who prefer a needle-free approach.

Cupping

Cupping involves the use of small glass cups as suction tools placed on the skin to alleviate congestion by drawing stagnant blood and qi to the surface. It targets deep tissues, aiding in the elimination of toxins, the removal of obstructions, and the revitalization of veins and arteries in the treated regions.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is the controlled burning of mugwort (artemisia vulgaris) on specific points or areas of the body stimulating healing by bringing nourishment in the affected region, enhancing blood circulation and the flow of qi. It often complements acupuncture treatments.

Acupuncture can help with a variety of complaints.

Acupuncture may improve blood flow, nutrient delivery, and toxin elimination. With its anti-inflammatory effects, it potentially reduces swelling and pain, benefiting acute and chronic conditions. See below which treatment we specialise.
